However, as someone who's grown up eating Peking duck, I felt like the sesame overwhelmed the duck.I appreciated the twist and it's definitely nice if you're really craving duck (or if you're trying Peking duck for the first time! The bbq bun was good and I liked it a lot more than the duck.As someone who travels frequently in Asia, predominantly between Taiwan-China-Hong Kong, my personal opinion is that I found the food here unimpressive, inauthentic, and expensive for the price. However, I think it's great other people have different experiences and enjoyed their visits. The pork buns were relatively similar to the kind you'd find at dim sum, but well-executed: the sweet topping was nicely crunchy and the pork inside was rich and savory. The Peking duck pockets also had tender (if a little fatty) meat with a pleasant combination of sweet and spicy sauce and a cucumber/herb mixture that balanced nicely. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, so no complaints there. The food on the other hand was wholly unimpressive.
Would recommend the lunch special, it was a good deal!
Both were good, but relatively faithful representations of classic dishes that didn't change a whole lot about them.
We also had the working hands dumplings in chili oil, fat chow mein, and chicken lettuce cups.
I'm glad for them, but I personally would not recommend or visit this restaurant again.
I have to say I was really blown away for the quality of food this restaurant provides.
As you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a storefront for random crockery sets and souvenirs.
